I First Saw In: 2014

Synopsis: A promising young drummer enrolls at a cut-throat music conservatory where his dreams of greatness are mentored by an instructor who will stop at nothing to realize a student’s potential.

Did You Know? J.K. Simmons was nominated for 55 different awards for his role as Fletcher. He won 48 of them.

Quotables: FLETCHER: There are no two words in the English language more harmful than “good job”.

And now a Word from the Guise:
This is one of the best movies ever made. It is absolute perfection. J.K. Simmons is brilliant and terrifying. There is no doubt that he deserved the Oscar. Miles Teller is utterly stellar, and he was completely overlooked, and instead a nomination went to Steve Carell for Foxcatcher.
