Argo‘s triumph at the Oscars was vindication for Ben Affleck after having been cheated out of a Best Director nomination. I breathed a sigh of relief when First Lady Michelle Obama declared Argo the winner, for it was bar none my favourite film of the year. I was tense with anticipation the entire time, holding my breath for unhealthy lengths of time, waiting for something terrible to happen.
