I First Saw In: c. 1998

Synopsis: After a young man is murdered, his spirit stays behind to warn his lover of impending danger, with the help of a reluctant psychic.

Did You Know? The sound the dark shadows make was actually the sound of babies crying, slowed way down and played backward.

Quotables: SAM: Molly, you’re in danger!
ODA MAE BROWN: You can’t just blurt it out like that! And quit moving around, because you’re starting to make me dizzy. I’ll just tell her in my own way. Molly, you in danger, girl.

And now a Word from the Guise:
I don’t think the film would have been as good without Whoopi Goldberg. It still would have been sweet yet tragic, but Whoopi adds such a nice comedic relief to it.
