Synopsis: How legendary country singer Loretta Lynn rose from poverty in a small mining town in Kentucky to international stardom.
Did You Know? Sissy Spacek and Beverly D’Angelo did all of their own singing.
Quotables: DOOLITTLE: What we gotta do next is figure out what to do next.
And now a Word from the Guise:
I’m familiar with some of Loretta Lynn’s music, but I don’t know anything about her life. Sissy Spacek and Beverly D’Angelo are excellent. Tommy Lee Jones is an abusive bastard. A very good film, though it is quite infuriating at times.
