I First Saw In: 1999

Did You Know? A couple of lines were redubbed to prevent the film from getting a PG-13 rating, because the producers wanted it to be more family-friendly.

Quotables: GWEN: Let’s get out of here before one of those things kills Guy!

A Word from the Guise: Galaxy Quest is seriously one of my all-time favourite movies. It’s one of the few films that I laughed at the whole way through, and one of two that I continue to laugh myself into stitches even after a hundred viewings. The witty writing is proof that a farcical parody doesn’t need to be stupid. The actors are outrageously funny, and the timing with which they deliver their lines is perfection. Honestly, I could rave endlessly on about how much I love this movie, but I can’t right now: I’m watching Galaxy Quest.
